Mystery Forest House

 Hello creative friends!

I was inspired to transform the Halloween house into a mysterious forest house.

The house has a stable stand, allowing for easy movement and rearrangement for new decorations.

I created an old, dilapidated house using the appropriate colour shading and crackle medium.

 The transformation was completed quickly.

To create a three-dimensional effect, I glued together various

individual parts such as leaves and mushrooms. The mini windows fit almost perfectly into the recesses, and the mini door has a small canopy.

It appears as though Grandpa Gnome has just come for a visit.

Lantern 'Dance of Snowflakes'

  Hello everyone!

Magical and dreamy, with snowflakes gently dancing in the sky,

this lantern inspired me to create a snowy winter forest scene.

I primed the object with white acrylic paint and then highlighted it with brown acrylic paint using the dry brush technique. In the centre, I hung a transparent acrylic glass ornament, a little ballerina (before it was a christmas tree ornament).

I added a white cuddly skirt with tulle and small punched-out snowflakes to the ballerina.

At the bottom of the lantern, there is an LED bottle bottom light, and above it, a big snowflake that has been glittered blue in some places.

When the light is switched on, it looks like the snowflake is dancing over a frozen lake.

Spring Greetings- Homedecor

 Hello everyone!

The last month of winter has begun, and the longing for spring is great.

Today, I present to you a new upcycling project.

I found it in an old scramble box; it was missing two rabbits, but I liked it very much.

So, I had the idea to make the whole thing prettier with a few Calico Craft shapes.

I used leftover wood-paper wallpaper to cover the rabbits, and aged the edges with walnut ink.

Then, I created a spring landscape using only a few pieces,

leaving the shapes in their original colours and highlighting them

with a small amount of white acrylic paint.

With a matching Easter egg from my stock I filled in the missing part.

Lantern - On a frosty morning

 Hello everyone!

Have you discovered the new lantern kit at Calico Craft Parts ???

I love lanterns that spread warmth and light, especially during the dark season.

Today the version with gothic windows. I chose the birch wood version with perspex

 and added some MDF parts.

I treated the perspex windows with frost spray, which creates

beautiful ice flowers and provides a magical atmosphere.

When the electric tea light is lit, it looks like a sunrise on a frosty morning.

 Creative Tip:

The MDF parts were not painted but finished with white gesso

 using the dry brush technique.

This creates a good contrast to the warm birch wood tone.

The lantern was shaded only at the corners with liquid walnut ink.

Cobweb House in Winter

Hello!

....  and suddenly it was winter 😀

The time goes by so fast. A classic Halloween house, which has just been lost in the fog,

 experiences the first snow.

Felix the tomcat seems to be very comfortable. He walks across the roof with ease.

 some details

I fell in love with this unique house immediately. However, I couldn't use it for Halloween.
I didn't want to wait until next October, so I put it into hibernation.
I removed a few cobwebs (which I saved for future projects) and added wintry colours to turn this beautiful new kit into a winter home decor object.
It radiates cosiness and warmth while being illuminated by an electric tea light.

Hallo - Luna - ween

 Hello everyone!

Halloween is approaching, and I had a thought to create

an amusing and frightful doorhanger.

Have you checked out the latest Halloweenmoon mixed media board?
If you examine it closely, can you spot the face?

I have completed the face and now Mrs Luna,

dressed as a Halloween witch, greets me from the moon.

A door to another world

Hello everyone!

I was inspired to create a mixed media collage

on a new mixed media board - The crescent moon.

Autumn is here, a sunny time that inspires with its colourful leaves

but also gives a feeling of sadness as winter draws near.

This season is also known for being grey, gloomy, and mysterious,

and it brings along the traditional Halloween festivities.

Initially, I gave structure to the moon by using a stencil and texture medium.

I created a landscape of craters with silver decosand, which I then coated

in black gesso once it had dried. However,

I regret not having taken a photo as what I had done is barely visible now.

Maybe it'll work better next time because this moon is so adaptable.

With some luck, there will be other moon shapes soon. 😀

Mermaid Dreams with Dusty Attic

Hello everyone!

I was inspired to create a mixed media collage on an oval canvas.

I used some awesome seaweed and coral chipboards

and combined this elements with outcasts from moulds.

The beautiful gate served as a frame for a little girl.

Chipboards were created with embossing powder,

acrylic paint and textured with micro pearls.
