Spring, Easter Homedecor Inspiration with MDF shapes

 

Welcome everyone!

 

Winter has returned with snow and ice
and the start of spring has been postponed indefinitely.
 
To counteract the gloomy mood and the lack of sunshine,

 a new spring project can helps.
 
Today's theme is Altered Art,
I used a simple swing made from a wooden branch and a wire hanger as a base
and created a hanging spring decoration.

 
You can hang it on a small window, under a shelf (as seen here)
 or even on the Easter shrub,
between Easter eggs, an old German tradition.

All the MDF shapes were painted with acrylic paint,
The blue bells were turned into a hyazinth,  
blue became yellow, maybe a new species.😀

Merry Christmas - Dusty Attic December Moodboard

 

Welcome everyone!

 

Dusty Attic's December Moodboard invites you to create

 an amazing project,

it shows the classical warm christmas colors.

 

I was inspired to make a mixed media layout

with place for a surprise

(small envelopes),

 you could also say it is an extra large christmas card 😀

 

 

 I used a background paper from the Christmas Stories collection

(13arts) and chose some amazing suitable chipboards from the big selction

Xmas Memory Frame - Guestdesign Craft O' Clock

 

Hello everyone!

 

Today a new christmas gift inspiration, 

I created a memory frame for things to be remembered at christmas time.

 

Base was a simply plastic picture frame. I used the Warm and Peaceful collection,

 several cut out motifs, background paper and also some parts from the Junk Journal.

They were perfect to create two bags,  you can put notes, photos, recipes there.

Home decor - Magical Winter Times with Dusty Attic

 

Welcome everyone!

 

 It's wintertime here,  first snowflakes have fallen, it's frosty cold, 

the best time for some cozy hours in the warm house. 

 

Christmas is just around the corner and I was inspired to make a new gift,

 it should be dreamy, magical and like a fairy tale.

 

I used this beautiful Big Moon as base,  

for more stability I glued it onto thick cardboard, bottom was made from 

the leftovers of the Big moon. 

All chipboards were first primed with white gesso, 

either artificial snow, glittering texture sand or small white micro beads 

were sprinkled into the still wet paint.

Enchanting Times with 13arts

  Hello everyone!

 

The latest 13arts collection Secret Garden it' s one of my favourites. 

 When you see the enchanting flowers you first think of spring and summer. 

However I'm someone who likes to create with the seasons, 

but when I looked at every single sheet I saw suddenly 

snow flurries and polar lights, really :-)

You just have to let your imagination run wild, right?!

 

 

I  discovered a christmas tree ornament in a store, a beautiful white peacock and thought,

 it would fit perfectly with the new collection and become a new eye catcher on the wall.

I created a mixed media canvas where I used the stamp, 

emphemera and the magical paper from Secret Garden, with white mist color, 

Gesso, some glitter flakes and white cutting dies

I created an enchanted ice world. The color shades 

just fit perfectly to such fantasy stories.

Altered Bottle Xmas

 Hello everyone!

 

Although Halloween is over,  these are the magical times of the year, 

we start with the preparations for christmas and 

long dark evenings invite again to tell stories.

 

I was inspired to create a new christmas gift project, 

it's a bottle in Altered Art.

 

I worked with Decoupage technique and combined this mixed media piece

 with MDF shapes, outcast's from silicone moulds and a lot of snow texture.

GD Craft O' Clock - Home Decor Age of Mysteries

 

Welcome creative souls!

 

I was invited to create some guest design projects

 with the amazing paper collections

 from Craft o' clock .

 There you can find a lot of motifs for cut out 

for all events and creative ideas.

As I saw the Age of Mysteries paper collection I had the inspiration

 to use some wooden letters as base for a gift idea. 

It's a home decor piece as desk or shelf decoration,

you can attach an individual funny photo and

 it's always an interesting eyecatcher.

An individuel gift,  simple and quickly made.

I used a 20 x 20 cm background paper from this collection 

and some cut out motifs, which were  supplemented 

with suitable cutting dies and two metallic elements.

Halloween Decor with Dusty Attic October Moodboard

I was inspired to create a new Home Decor piece

as a Halloween gift. 

The colors from our monthly Moodboard were a perfect match for it.

I love to create

 with this funny spook, a lot of fantasy, in a dark foggy robe. 

 

 

I used a background paper from La Blanche as base,

glued a cut out from spooky house on cardboard,

with  Gothic Fretwork

I created some 3D effects e.g. a balcony. 

By decorating with the chipboards the whole house 

looks much more alive.
