Happy Up-cycling with Canvas Corp Brands

Welcome!
Some weeks ago a friend asked me:
Do you need some old fruit crates,  you can always use everything ;-)?!

I have taken this crates with me and saw this word 'WANTED'
in a old magazine and a new idea was born.
I'm always on search to my washi tape and so I decided
to make a new (old) practical storage, where I can hang up my tapes.
I love the material -wood- and a used timeworn look.

used materials from Tattered Angels
and other companies

How I made this
in step by step photos and notes

DT Scrap FX - Our Story

Hello!

A friend needed a gift for her grandparents and ask me if I had an idea.
As I saw the beautiful Newspaper frame
I thought, perfectly for an vintage project with an old family photo.

I used a chalky finish paint  'Vintage' from DecoArt for outer edge and a Distress Stain 'Walnut' ink for inner frame. Chipboards were also painted with this colors.
Only two paints were enough, I highlighted all with a little bit copper wax
and the frame in altered art was finish.

The 'other' easter eggs

Welcome!

I love it to paint easter eggs, I don't know how many were in the last years,
but in this year I wanted to try something new.

I used a simple plastic egg

with a lot of texture materials,
gauze, structure paper (die gears), cheesecloth, metal embellishments,
molds with modelling clay, beads

painted all with black gesso
and used various  metallic waxes

a steampunk feeling

I want to share this here

Happy sunday!

Spring has finally arrived
As the winter has finally vanished, I enjoy the spring and the sun outside.
Time is ripe for a big spring-cleaning, omg
not my favourite thing !
but with a little bit fun it's getting easier, or?!

 Wide awake & chirpy :-)

DT Scraps of Darkness - Imagine

Hello !

My latest romantic layout in vintage style for our Scraps of Darkness Team.

Some years ago I was in Paris, a wonderful main town in Europe/France.
One of many nice things you can do there is to enjoy a coffee
in a small bistro on the street.
As I saw this beautiful old vintage photo I reminded me on this
and was inspired to make a layout to my favourite daydream.

I used again the beautiful 'Our story ' kit with a background paper
from the new Love clippings collection (Prima Marketing)

-Imagine- from the Bo Bunny Foil Transfers, also as negative used

Our march challenge theme here is to alter a chipboard, there are many opportunities to do that.
I works often with white embossing powder
and when you inked your chipboard only on few places, not
everywhere,  you will see a timeworn look as altered effect
 Easy and fast!

cut out's from the 3x4 Journaling Notecards

some letters from Kaisercraft with white embossing powder
and some stars from the Bo Bunny Foil Transfers

wonderful flowers from the Floral Add On,

flowers and lace were inked with Lindy's Stamp Gang Milk Chocolate Shimmer Powder
and a little bit water, that's really always a surprise when you see this magical effect

CSI No 225
Evidence: Stripes, Animals, Wings, Stars
Testimony: Daydreaming on paper, insp. words fly, impossible, dream

You can find our kits to purchase here,
and we have also a very inspiring  Facebook group here,
where we love to see everyone's work with our kits.

Thanks for your visit!

Rusty Fantasies

Welcome everybody!

A new project for our  Steampunk DT
with the monthly theme
Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial

I myself really enjoy trying out new things and examining
everything from different angles.
My latest tests were exercises with rust and various structures.
There are so many opportunities for rusty looks in crafty land .

That was a try only with DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics.
Quinacridone Gold, Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide,
Transparent Red iron Oxide, Carbon Black and Burnt Umber

Here I used a canvas as basic, corrugated cardboard, cheesecloth,
Art sugar and 3D balls in background as texture elements.

firstly a starfish, then a plaster face and some parts from a barock frame,
which were made with a mould
some shells and a little star above that

a chipboard which was embossed with a gear folder

some gears in background (die cuts)

Hopefully you will now feel even more inspired to create your own Steampunk project.
I really enjoyed working on mine!!!
Many thanks for stopping by!
